The Boarding House was a very well written book that dealt with some tough issues. I found parts of it disturbing, but it was extremely difficult to put down. I felt for the main character, Ellie Wayne, and my heart broke for her many times during this book. I am a longtime Sala fan, and while this was quite a departure for her, it was a great /5(82).
